Fly Cup Catering has rapidly grown over the last four years to which we strive to continue growing and providing training for adults with learning disabilities. In order to sustain this growth we have the opportunity to consolidate our permanent home in Inverurie by purchasing and extending our existing facility into much needed space, in order to achieve this we have to raise £250,000.
We will therefore be hosting a series of fundraising events over the next year to reach our target. These events will be listed below and on our Facebook Page. This is a challenge but it is a challenge we are willing to accomplish! We therefore invite YOU to join us with this ‘250 challenge’ and show your support by taking part in our events (see below).
Trainees ’25’ Mile Walk
We take a group of trainees out of the kitchen everyday (weather permitting) and complete a mile of walking called ‘The Mile a Day Walk’. The trainees love it and it is a great way for them to get some fresh air and keep fit. In aid of this 250 challenge the trainees are going to walk ’25’ miles within ’25’ weeks (completed by July 2018). They have been receiving sponsorships from their friends and family for taking on this walking challenge.
If you would like to contribute and help us reach our £250,000 target then please text FLYC25 (£anyamount) to 70070.
Thank you so much to those who have sponsored our trainees and have donated through JustTextGiving.
Fly Cup’s Stained Glass Entrance
We will be installing a beautiful stained glass entrance to the front of our Coffee Shop which will portray cupcakes, tea cups, tea pots and the spectacular Bennachie. The panels have been designed by an artist called Roselyne O’Neill who has used her creative imagination to design something beautiful yet relevant to what Fly Cup Catering is all about.
We will be selling pieces/squares from all seven panels to individuals and businesses and each supporter will have their name engraved on a plaque. Each square on the side panels costs £250 whilst pieces of the top panel (which includes Bennachie) cost £100 each.
This is a great opportunity for businesses to promote their organisation and support a local charity. Likewise with individuals, it is an incredible project to be part of!
Come and visit us and see what squares are up for grabs. If you would like more information or wish to purchase a square please visit our Coffee Shop or get in contact with us on 01467 625645.
This is a rough design of what the beautiful stained glass will look like.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS – professional and amateur! An Art Challenge is being run in collaboration with The BlueRoof in Oyne. We are currently looking for artists to submit a piece of art to fit in either a CD jewel case or a DVD case (which will be provided).
Artworks should be unsigned on the front, with the artists details concealed inside the cases. The public will be invited to bid for works they really like and get a pleasant surprise when they uncover the identity of the artist when they collect their purchase – who knows, they may find they’ve acquired a modern day Rembrandt or Picasso.
The artworks will then be sold by silent auction with a minimum bid of £25 each, in keeping with our ‘250’ theme an it is hoped that we will have 250 art works donated over the period of our 250 Challenge. These will be displayed in groups of 25 each month at The BlueRoof with the winning bidders being decalred at the end of each month.
CD/DVD cases will be available for collection from our Coffee Shop or The BlueRoof or you can contact Liz Chrystall on 07900 913671.
